A Thank You

If you have not already, please go read the first post on this blog, as it is the entire basis for this first post of mine.

My name is Shane. Perhaps you know me, or maybe you don't. Either way, I will introduce myself more thoroughly in the near future. However, it would be an injustice to not set aside a post for a proper thank you. So we will start with just that, a thank you.

To say that I am speechless might somehow be an understatement. Elizabeth, as she said, showed me the Timelessly Defined blog for the first time on Valentine's Day. I was so stunned from the shock and gratitude I felt in that moment that I am not even sure if I totally expressed how grateful I was in the moment. This has been a passion project (maybe more accurately passion idea) for the last year. Originally this blog was going to be something entirely different in its presentation. However, I was not settled with it after a big change. I was struggling to give it a new identity all of last year. I had brought it up several times that I wanted to start this but was quickly finding out that starting something is perhaps the hardest part. Recently her and I had been discussing it more and I was finally ready to do something. And when she presented it to me, I knew I finally had my outlet for discussing the thoughts I have about God and how He tells His ancient story in a new and changing world. There is not enough words to say thank you but this is a written blog so I suppose I have nothing else.

So thank you Elizabeth. Thank you for believing in me enough to make this. Thank you for the kind words in the first post that I will cherish. Thank you for being one of the people who show me God's light every day. Thank you for giving me the chance to start something new in this season of rest.

Thank you to my friends who knew about this before I did. Thank you for inspiring me every day to be better. Thank you for encouraging me to share my thoughts about a life lived with faith.

And thank you to anyone who is here reading this. I am simply a man with my thoughts but you being here means a lot. I am so glad you are here.
