Welcome!

This is actually not Shane. At least not for this first post. Shane will be the one posting from here on out, but he doesn't actually know this blog exists yet. He's been talking about setting up a blog for a long time, but has never gotten around to getting the actual website. So I decided to do it for him. I'll give him the log-in for Valentine's Day.

I'm not just doing this because it's something he wants and it checks a box for a holiday. I'm doing this because over the past couple months I've had some of the best conversations about God that I've had in my life with him. My faith has not only grown, but become more flexible and loving because of them. I think he has something to say and I think that people should be able to hear it.

Which is also not to say that I think he's some great and powerful prophet from on high. He's just a guy. But he's a pretty smart guy with a knack for starting meaningful conversations. He's not looking to change the world with this, and that's not what I expect of him. Just maybe some open conversation.

So I hope you'll subscribe and read what he has to say. I hope you'll comment and engage in (respectful) conversation. And I hope to see you back soon for his first post.
